Godsey Martin attorney, Brian Mincher, isn’t afraid to go to trial to recover what you deserve for your injury. With over 15 years of litigation experience and over 105 jury trials in three states under his belt, he goes out of his way to ensure that careless corporations don’t harm the public. A former defense attorney for two large national insurance companies, Mincher saw many clients who were at the mercy of big business and was troubled by the way they were treated. His experience inspired him to change career paths and protect the public from the negligence and the wrongdoing of big companies.
Mincher attended Oklahoma’s East Central University on a full scholarship as a Hornbeak Scholar, and graduated in 1996, having double-majored in History and Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, Mincher attended law school at the University of Oklahoma, and tried multiple cases under his legal intern’s license before graduating.
His legal career is expansive, having practiced family law, bankruptcy law, and criminal defense and even providing representation to low-income defendants as a public defender. He has won various awards and recognition for his legal services including a nomination for the Distinguished Service Award of 2007 and winner of the 2007 Famers Trial House of the Year, which was awarded by Farmer’s Insurance for trying more cases than any other Farmer’s attorney over the course of that year. His diverse experience brings valuable insight and a unique perspective to the team of Godsey Martin.
Mincher was inspired to stand up for others from the Harper Lee classic, “To Kill a Mockingbird,” citing, “Finch inspired me because he stood up against an entire community in favor of justice.”.
Mincher is inspired by the community work that Godsey Martin participates in, including car seat giveaways, back to school giveaways and scholarships. He has been married for ten years, and has three children whom he loves very much.
